Dr. Shi is a lecturer in Xi’an Jiaotong University. She got her PhD in Applied Linguistics and Education in 2016 in Newcastle University, UK. Her doctoral thesis examines the English language education policy in China from a CDA and ethnographic combined approach. Her current research interest includes: language policy and planning, immigration language policy, and public opinion analysis. She has integerated critical thinking in her teaching and  has won several teaching competition.
